Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a weight limit?
There is no weight limit for riders. You know you body best! Pulling yourself up onto your horse and maintaining your balance throughout the entire ride is key.
Can I go faster than a walk?
No. Due to the differences in each person's riding experience, all of our rides are walk only for your safety, other's safety and the safety of our horses.
Do I need experience to ride?
Nope! We welcome riders of all skill levels to join us and have gentle horses to accommodate most people.
What should I bring on the ride?
While you don't NEED to bring anything, its a good idea to bring some water with you during the summer months. Please refrain from bringing back packs and selfie sticks on the ride.
Can I mount/dismount by myself?
No. For guest and horse safety, all riders must use a mounting block while getting on their horse, regardless of previous riding experience. At the end of the ride, we ask that all guests wait for one of the Wranglers to assist you off your horse before dismounting.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. To go on the trail, riders must be at least 6 years old. Children who are nervous or under the age of 6 can participate in a parent-led pony ride.
What should I wear on the ride?
Close-toed shoes are a MUST. Riding boots with a slick bottom and a small heel is best but tennis shoes are fine too. Hiking boots are ok, but not recommended. Long pants are also suggested to protect your legs from bushes. If wearing a hat, please be sure it is tight fitting.
Can I ride double with someone?
No. Riding double can be quite dangerous for both riders and horses. Each guest will have their own mount!
Can I take photos on the ride?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to take photos while on the ride, but we do ask you keep your cell phone use to a minimum while on your horse for safety reasons.
Will I see wildlife?
We cannot guarantee you will see wildlife while riding, but they do frequent the area. Our guides and guests have seen mule deer, moose and bear to name a few!
